RE: My little Doxie is very sick. Cause unknown.

It will take awhile, but she will realize you love her and this is her forever home. I have a very shy one too, she did finally outgrow it and somedays I wish she were shy again.

RE: Sorry Canada

Well we love going to the states. Now the dollar may be almost par but we are all in the same boat when it comes to gas prices. They suck. We in Canada, have a ton of natural resources. Im in Saskatchewan and the Tar sands do not stop at the Alberta boarder. Someday our goverment may wake up and tap these resources for the good of all north america.Till then we try to save a little each week for our trips. I hope someday this will get better for all.

RE: 2008 Jayco Plumbing Problem?

On our 1st trip last year with our NEW jayco(after the dealer said he went over everything). The trap under the sink was off. The water pump leaked, shower taps leaked, lines under the sink leaked. By this time we were in south dakota(we live in saskatchewan) Phoned the dealer even though I knew there was nothing he could do right then. Good thing hubby had tools with him to tighten everything. But everytime we went back on the road, things loosened again. Well we kept tightening till we got back. Took it in and they went through it again. It seems ok now but we will see on our 1st trip this year. Other than that I do like the jaycos

RE: Best way to keep dog close to camp

How about an EXpen, we use one all the time. The dogs can be outside without a leash and safe in the pen. But we dont leave them outside if we are not there

RE: Dogs and Travel in the Summer

We travel with ours all the time. When we do leave them in a trailer we just open windows when not plugged in ,they do fine. We dont go out all day however, Also I try to park in shade if possible

RE: Drumheller campgrounds?

There's one out west of town, it might even be past the museum but it definitely is west of town on the north side of the valley. We stayed there several times when the kids were young. They referred to it as "bunny heaven" because the place was overrun with rabbits. It was our favorite but I can't provide a name. When you reserve ask if they have rabbits. This one is dinosaur trail RV park. Its a great campground, close to musuem here is the link http://www.holidaytrailsresorts.com/dinosaurtrail

RE: How do you handle situations like this: part two?

Those retractable leashes are part of the problem. They should be outlawed, and any responsible dog owner does not own one. If you do, then you are not a responsible dog owner, and part of the problem!!!!! We have them ,, so we are not responsible according to you? I think we are, anytime people or dogs come near we pull them in, and in some cases pick up the little dogs. The bulldog we don't. Tell me why this makes us irresponsible? According to you? Its not the leash but the people holding it. Also the dogs have been and ae still in obedience(the bulldog)who is excelling and may get a title. But again its who is holding the lease.

RE: suggestions on collapsable kennels

We have the soft sided but use only when we are in hotels. For camping we use an Ex pen. We put the dogs in while we set up and do not have to worry about them while we do so. Howver we may have to use one soft sided, we have a 6 month old mini weenie and she's quite the dickens

RE: For Heaven's Sakes, Control Your Dogs!

We camp with our dogs all the time,We try to tak them with us as much as possible in the day time.We just got another mini weenie dog. Hopefully she will be as good as the others. But if we are parked next to you and the dogs do bark, please let us know. I know people try to get away from it all on their vacation, I don't want to spoil it for you. Just let us know...

RE: Take the dogs or leave them with the dog sitter? Yellowstone

We were there last June with our 2 mini weenies and bulldog (we have adopted a 3rd weenie). Campsites did not give us a problem. We went out in the morn while still cool to walk and spend time with the hounds. By the time we got back to the TT. they were tired and slept with the A/C on. However we were gone maybe 3-4 hrs tops. I do worry when I leave them in the TT,but would not go without them.
